Director of JPIC

The Sisters of Bon Secours, USA, located in Marriottsville, Maryland, seeks qualified candidates for the Director of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation.
The Director of JPIC (Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation) provides primary support for the Congregation leadership in Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation.
In this role the Director animates and enables the Congregation and the Bon Secours Family to engage more effectively in the work of Peace and Justice and leads advocacy for systemic change.
Job Responsibilities :
Supports the overall mission focus of the Sisters of Bon Secours to defend and care for all creation and to cry out with others against injustice.
Provides support and recommends action related to justice issues to the Congregational Leader and Team (CT (Congregation Team)).
Serves as Chair of the International JPIC committee.
Prepares an annual report of the JPIC ministry and attends the Enlarged Congregation Team (ECT) meetings as a guest.
Provides leadership for and assists the JPIC Committee in prioritization of areas for Congregational action.
Plans the JPIC agenda with the Co-chair, prepares materials for distribution and co-facilitates the JPIC meetings.
Oversees regular updating of the JPIC section of the international website and Bon Secours USA website.
Supervises the work of the Office Manager for International JPIC and International Vocation ministries in areas related to JPICRequired
Qualifications:
A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with competence in social and eco-justice related issues required.
Minimum five (5) years working in Justice and Peace, with at least 2 of those years in a leadership role, in province or international level.
Minimum one (1) year supervising a direct report.
Familiarity working with Women ReligiousUnderstanding of Catholic Social Teaching and familiarity with current Church documents on social and environmental justiceProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, intranet & internet sites.
Proven record of accomplishment of relationship building, both internally and externally, with the ability to work with, as well as communicate effectively with, all professional levels.
Ability to work independently, with a high degree of initiative and autonomy.
Able to travel frequently, internationally.
Strong leadership, organizational, written, and verbal communication, and technology skillsAbility to support remote work as needed.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Current member of a religious congregationLed Congregation Justice and Peace function for 3 years.
Preferably at international level.
Spanish or French as a second language.
Desire or ability to learn.
Strong commitment to and demonstrated passion for social and environmental justiceWillingness to learn, understand and embrace the charism and mission of the Sisters of Bon Secours Recommended Skills Communication Curiosity French Interpersonal Skills Intranet Justice Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
